Scott came to World Vision in May ‘06 with nearly two decades of banking experience to oversee the microfinance operations. He holds an Engineering degree from McGill University and an MBA from Concordia University. He has directed banking operations in areas such as home and personal lending, credit management, financial management and control, international treasury operations, strategy, and administration.
As Vice President of Canada’s largest bank, he served in Toronto, Montreal, and in the UK . Whilst in the UK , he was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer of a $13 billion regulated bank with offices throughout Europe and the Middle East, engaged in retail, financial institution and corporate lending, global treasury, bond distribution, and private banking.
Before entering banking, he wor ked as an engineer in Switzerland, the Canadian Arctic, Australia and Newfoundland. Scott has been a director of several Royal Bank subsidiary boards, and is a co-author of a Toronto Board of Trade paper on affordable housing.
